Why This Role Matters
In this role, you’ll work closely with our Pensions Operations team to ensure every call, webchat, and written enquiry is both technically correct and customer-friendly. You’ll provide constructive feedback to our guidance specialists, update key technical materials, anticipate industry developments, and help deliver training that keeps our service at the forefront of the pensions landscape.

What You’ll Be Doing
The Quality Assurance and Technical Specialist will report directly to Pensions Quality Assurance Technical Manager and will be responsible for:
- Ensuring all services are technically accurate and consistently meet our agreed customer service standards
- Providing expert responses to technical queries from our Pensions Guidance Specialists across all areas of pensions
- Monitoring industry developments to anticipate emerging topics and support proactive updates
- Reviewing and enhancing the technical accuracy of pension guidance content and information materials
- Participating in relevant meetings, workshops, and discussions connected to the role
- Contributing to our technical learning and development strategy, and supporting the delivery of the quality assurance plan to drive continuous improvement across the organisation

- Comprehensive and in‑depth knowledge of pensions law and practice across occupational, personal, and state pension arrangements
- A strong understanding of wider retirement considerations, including non‑pension assets and state benefits
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, accessible language for the public
- A commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, including undertaking training where required
- A proven track record of producing accurate, high‑quality technical communications
- The ability to provide detailed, constructive, and actionable feedback to colleagues
