Summary


As an Imaging Nurse you will play a key role in caring for patients throughout their interventional radiology journey. From admission and assessment to procedure support, recovery and discharge, you will ensure patients feel safe, informed and well supported at every stage of their care.

Working closely with interventional radiologists and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will assist in theatre by scrubbing, circulating and monitoring patients during procedures. Once fully trained, you will also provide sedation and respond to emergencies when needed.

Beyond direct patient care, you will gain valuable experience with specialist equipment, maintain stock and resources, and ensure thorough documentation to support safe, high-quality practice.

This is a varied, fast-paced role that offers the chance to build advanced clinical skills in a highly specialised area of nursing. You will be involved in both routine and emergency cases, contribute directly to patient outcomes, and expand your knowledge through ongoing learning and development.

• The post holder will collaborate and support the team in the delivery of high standard and quality care, will be responsible for the assessment, planning and provision of specialist nursing services, and carry out specialist nursing procedures for a continuous efficient and effective service.
• The post holder will provide clinical supervision to other staff and students, facilitating their training and development, as well as undertaking research, quality improvement projects, lead clinical audits within their own specialist area.
• Ensuring safety and well-being of service users, and promote dignity and equality adopting patient centred approach in line with NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
