In Tower Hamlets our local community is home to families from a diverse mix of ethnicity, social challenge and health need. The Royal London Hospital is situated in the heart of East London and we have easy access to very good public transport links .

We are recruiting nursery nurses to join our dynamic team. We already have a strong team in place that will support you and work with you during your induction period to help you settle in. We offer various educational programme and in house training to help staff develop within the role. The Trust also offer places for Nursery Nurses who would like to go on and do their Nurse or midwifery training after working for us for a period of time.

We are looking to recruit qualified nursery nurses on a substantive contracts working 37.5 hours per week, to join our successful specialist team Transitional Care. We will require you to be flexible working a mixture of days and nights, 24 hours, Monday to Sunday including bank holidays. You will need a recognised childcare qualification NVQ level 3 or equivalent or working towards. You will need to be highly motivated, have the ability to work as part of a team and a sound knowledge of the EYFS Framework is essential.

An understanding of Every Child Matters is also important to this role.

Ø Assist in physical and emotional care of the newborn. Provide support to mothers and qualified staff on the ward.

Ø Provide a family centred environment and parents the relevant skills required to care for their child.

Ø To support all grades of staff.
