Hours Required: 28 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, structured across a combination of morning and afternoon hours
Start Date: Mid-April 2026 preferred
Driver: Yes. Confident driver required. Car provided for use on duty
Overview
A professional, welcoming family based in Godstone is seeking an experienced, reliable Housekeeper–Nanny to support the smooth running of their large, modern six-bedroom home.
This is a housekeeping-led role, with the primary focus on maintaining the home to a consistently high standard. The family have two teenage boys who are largely independent and at school during the day. Responsibilities regarding the children include school runs, meal preparation, and ensuring they are organised and supported, while encouraging their independence.
This is a sole-charge position and would suit a proactive, organised and trustworthy professional who takes pride in their work and is confident in managing a home independently.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping
• Cleaning bathrooms and toilets
• Changing master bed weekly
• Changing children’s bedding fortnightly, with pillowcases weekly
• Changing bathroom towels as required
• Hoovering carpets throughout
• Hoovering and mopping tiled floors downstairs
• Dusting throughout
• Maintaining all surfaces to a high standard
• Keeping the home clean, tidy and well organised
• Laundry management including washing, hanging and organising
• Ironing for the family, including bedding
• Emptying bins and managing bin day
Household Support
• Taking in deliveries, including grocery deliveries
• Occasional small food shop for children’s items
• Emptying dishwasher and general kitchen upkeep
• Planning and preparing meals for the children
Childcare Support
• School runs
• Preparing meals for the children
• Supporting the organisation of school and sports kit
• Providing appropriate supervision and support
• Encouraging independence in a positive and supportive manner
Requirements
• Previous experience in a similar Housekeeper or Housekeeper–Nanny role
• High standards of housekeeping and attention to detail
• Honest, trustworthy and careful
• Confident and safe driver
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Warm, caring and friendly nature
• Strong communication skills
• Local to Godstone or within a reasonable commuting distance preferred
