PlannerHOURS: 40 hoursLOCATION: OlneyAt Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day.We're looking for a Programme Planner who will play a key role in supporting project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and contractual compliance across complex programmes.

Role Responsibilities
-Develop, maintain, and update the project programme (schedule) in line with commercial contract requirements (e.g., NEC/FIDIC), ensuring full integration of all project activities and alignment with project objectives.

-Work closely with project stakeholders to understand objectives, scope, and deliverables and translate them into detailed, achievable plans and schedules.

-Proactively identify and report delays, proposing solutions and adjustments to mitigate programme impact.

-Implement and manage planning, monitoring, and control processes required by the commercial contract, ensuring timely communication of progress, risks, and changes.

-Coordinate with the project team to support early warning processes, identify risks, and contribute to mitigation strategies.

-Ensure accurate and timely submission of revised programmes, forecasts, and updates, supporting the management of compensation events and contract variations.

-Lead and facilitate collaborative planning sessions with project teams and stakeholders to support efficient project execution and programme updates.

-Utilise Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 tools, applying planning techniques such as critical path analysis and earned value management.

-Prepare and present detailed reports and analysis on project progress, performance, and forecasts to senior stakeholders, highlighting risks and recommended solutions.

-Collaborate closely with client design leads to review and analyse progress data, ensuring timely communication of insights to project management.

-Build and maintain strong relationships with project teams and clients, ensuring clear communication and excellent client satisfaction.

-Ensure senior management is fully informed of all programme issues and provide appropriate planning advice.

Required QualificationsApplicants must meet the following requirements:

Essential
-Experience using MS Project and Primavera P6 (OPC) software.

-3+ years' project planning experience.

-Ability to work independently to produce project and tender programmes.

-Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

-A strong team player committed to continuous improvement.

Desirable
-Experience in construction or renewable energy.

-Degree in Business Management, Construction, or equivalent experience.

-Project Management experience.

-PRINCE2/APM qualification.
