Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and movement of goods within the warehouse environment. This role requires a proactive approach to materials management, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment. Prior warehouse experience will be advantageous in maintaining smooth operations and supporting our organisational goals.
Responsibilities
Operate forklift trucks and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods.
Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking, storage, and organisation of stock items.
Perform picking and packing tasks for orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in fulfilment processes.
Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading lorries or containers.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
Previous experience working within a warehouse environment is highly desirable.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily duties.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for stock management tasks such as picking & packing.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
