Summary

Pharmacy Manager (Employed on a self-employed basis)

Salary: £57,525–£70,000 plus up to 15% service bonus for NHS and private services

Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday 9am–1pm, 2pm–6.15pm and alternate Saturdays 9am–12noon

Location: Haddenham, Ely, CB6 3XD

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join their experienced team at their Cambridgeshire branch.

You will take full responsibility for the smooth running of the pharmacy and driving sales growth. The role requires excellent clinical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, GPs and other healthcare professionals. You will lead by example, delivering outstanding customer service and supporting the provision of high-quality healthcare services to the local community and beyond.

Duties include:

As Pharmacy Manager, you will play a key role in managing, inspiring and developing a team of colleagues to deliver an excellent service to customers. You will also be responsible for:

• Placing customers at the heart of everything you do, ensuring medicines are available, carrying out services and tests, dispensing prescriptions and providing healthcare advice.
• Leading, motivating and developing the pharmacy team.
• Ensuring the pharmacy operates safely, legally and in line with all regulatory requirements.
• Building strong working relationships with Primary Care Organisations (PCOs) and GP surgeries, and ensuring accurate payment claims for NHS-funded services.

The Ideal Candidate:

• UK-registered Pharmacist with the GPhC.
• Minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience.
• Previous experience leading and managing a busy pharmacy is desirable.
• Able to provide, or willing to train to deliver, the following services: NHS Flu and Covid vaccinations, NHS Pharmacy First, NHS Contraception Service, NHS Blood Pressure (BP) and ABPM services, travel vaccinations and weight loss injections. Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification preferred.
• An enthusiastic, driven and self-motivated leader who can support business aims and objectives.
• Excellent management and team leadership skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high levels of concentration.
• Professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals, including GPs, practice and district nurses, care homes and community teams.
• High levels of IT literacy and numeracy are essential.
