Summary
School First Aid Officer
Our client, a leading school in Newquay is looking for a trained first aider for the next 2 weeks covering sickness.
Starting tomorrow - Tuesday 24th February 2026
Monday to Friday 8.30am- 3pm
Paying £13.75 hour, weekly, every Friday + Holiday Pay
The Role in brief will undertake to:
• Provide on-site first aid support to secondary school pupils
• Assess and treat minor injuries and illnesses
• Respond to incidents across classrooms, playground, and PE
• Administer prescribed medication in line with school policy
• Complete accident/incident reports and liaise with parents/carers
• Support pupils with additional needs (SEN experience beneficial)
• Work independently and confidently within safeguarding guidelines
Requirements:
• Valid Level 3 First Aid qualification (essential)
• Experience working with children within a school, healthcare, TA, support work
• Calm, professional and able to make clear decisions under pressure
• Enhanced DBS covering Childs Workforce
• Safeguarding Children Certificate
