Summary
The post holder will be expected to work within the trust values, ensuring that they are embedded into clinical practice to give our patients and staff the best possible outcome and experience. To be accountable for the operational management of the General Surgery Team within theatres, covering: Ophthalmology Surgery, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Urology, plastic surgeries. To ensure that staff comply to policies and procedures therefore being able to induct staff, teach junior staff and students is a must. The post holder will also be accountable for ensuring up-to-date clinical practice, providing clinical staff with leadership across the department when designated Theatre Coordinator and also ensuring the effective utilisation of the theatres. The post holder will be expected to participate in the Heatherwood Site-coordinator on rotation.
