Are you an experienced Clinical Coder looking for a remote NHS assignment?
We are working with NHS clients seeking skilled coders to support high‑quality, accurate coded data that underpins patient care, service planning and Trust funding.
As a Clinical Coder, you will be responsible for analysing and translating clinical information from patient records into nationally recognised coding classifications. This coded data supports clinical governance, NHS payment systems (HRGs), and national reporting requirements.
You will join an established remote Coding Team and contribute to accurate, timely, and complete coding across a wide range of specialities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review clinical documentation including discharge summaries, clinical notes, radiology, histology, and digital records.
- Produce high‑quality coded data to support audits, data quality checks, and Trust reporting.
- Work independently while liaising with clinical teams to clarify information where required.
- Maintain coding accuracy, keeping up to date with national rules, classification updates, and best practice.
Essential Qualifications:
We are looking for an experienced clincial coder with:

Previous clinical coding experience within the NHS or UK healthcare sector.

High attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex clinical information accurately.

Strong IT and communication skills to work effectively in a remote team.
Desirable

ACC Accredited Clinical Coder status (NCCQ).

Experience coding across multiple acute specialities.

Familiarity with EPR systems, EMIS, Docman or similar clinical platforms.
