The Team

The Health & Safety team sits within the Governance & Compliance directorate, and are responsible for creating a health and safety culture and ethos across the University. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting risks assessments, investigating accidents, carrying out audits and checks, developing policies and codes of practice, advising on best practice and compliance, and delivering training.

The Role

This is an exciting new role that will support the Health & Safety Adviser in coordinating health and safety compliance across York St John University, including leading on a range of projects. The post holder will play a key role in providing expert knowledge to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation. They will also develop and promote a positive health and safety culture through pro-active advice and guidance across the University.

Required Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have significant knowledge and experience in delivering health and safety in a complex work environment, with the ability to communicate, advise and train a vast range of stakeholders
