Ready to impact a better future? As a Project Manager in our Estates and Facilities team, you’ll help deliver essential healthcare estates projects that directly support clinical services and improve environments for patients, colleagues, and visitors.
You’ll be part of a skilled and collaborative team managing a varied portfolio of healthcare estates projects. Your work will support safe, compliant, and sustainable spaces that enable positive outcomes across the hospital community.
What you’ll do as a Project Manager You’ll be entrusted to:
- Manage the full project lifecycle, from briefing and feasibility through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Ensure all projects comply with NHS standards, Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (SHTMs), building regulations, healthcare guidance, and CDM 2015 safety legislation.
- Coordinate external contractors, consultants, and suppliers, ensuring performance, quality, and safety standards are consistently met.
- Embed Health and Safety management throughout project delivery and maintain all mandatory CDM documentation.
- Create and maintain key project management tools including project plans, financial trackers, and risk and issue logs.
- Produce and present clear progress reports including financial updates, risks, and issues.
- Maintain strong governance and control, ensuring accurate project documentation and full audit trail at handover.
- Build strong working relationships with Estates, Facilities, and Clinical colleagues to minimise disruption to hospital services.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, sustainability, and value for money throughout project delivery.

- Proven experience managing projects in a healthcare, estates, or construction environment.
- Experience delivering multiple projects of varying scale and complexity, up to £2 million.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, CDM 2015 Regulations, Health and Safety requirements, and building compliance.
- A diligent, organised approach with a commitment to strong governance and documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to support effective stakeholder engagement.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive project team.
Vetting and checks: This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme, which involves a detailed check of spent and unspent convictions and other relevant information to ensure safeguarding compliance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can provide any necessary support to help you carry out your responsibilities.
