Summary
We have the ability to complete a wide variety of maintenance projects, including painting and decorating, landscaping, garden tidy-ups, and derelict regeneration projects, as our team holds expertise in Horticulture and Landscaping. The team further carry out litter picks locally to maintain social, open environments to a high standard. Stoneywood Community Projects have partnered with the Inspire Denny and Dunipace group on a tree planning event, as well as activities arranged through CGI. We work alongside Stenhousemuir and Dunipace football clubs, maintaining their grounds and in return, carry out weekly football training sessions with the people we support. We have recently begun a development initiative for the allotment sites in Denny with the aim of offering therapeutic sessions to the local community and the individuals we support. We will cultivate and distribute fresh fruits, vegetables, and plants.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced individual to join our Community Projects team, which is dedicated to providing the highest quality service to the wider community in their own homes or gardens. Our team members are motivated by one another. You will be a part of the team whose purpose is to improve the health, wellbeing, and lives of the individuals we support, as well as the local community, through our work.
We are currently accepting applications for a part-time position that requires 16 to 20 hours per week. A valid driver's license is required for this position, as Stoneywood Community Projects utilises the van for daily operations and duties.
The starting rate is £12.65 per hour. Contract hours would be discussed further at the interview.
An ideal candidate should have experience or interest in:
• Working with adults who have a diagnosed learning disability, autism or other complex needs
• Painting & Decorating
• Landscaping (fence building, drainage, edging, laying slabs, laying new and artificial lawns, creating new gardens, constructing raised beds)
• Horticulture (grass cutting and trimming, garden regeneration, planting out gardens, general tidy)
• Joinery (hanging new doors, skirting, shelves, etc.)
• Carpet cleaning and fabric sofas/chairs cleaning
You should have strong communication skills to motivate other people, high health & safety awareness, be a team player and be sensitive to the evolving needs of individuals.

Professional qualifications are highly desirable; however, the right candidates will be supported to complete these throughout their career with us. It is desirable that applicants have experience working in a care and support environment, however all essential training will be given during induction.
We will require an update/registration of Protection of Vulnerable Groups scheme to work with vulnerable adults.
