Work autonomously in the areas previously described. Have supervisory responsibility for less experienced scientific and technical staff, and for laboratory support staff. Be required to deputise for more senior staff during short term absences. Annex 21 may be considered for any suitable qualified Band 5 staff who have not yet gained IBMS Specialist Diploma.
