Duties as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one and small‑group support for pupils
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities
- Support behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
- Help pupils with personal development, confidence, and independence
- Contribute to classroom organisation and preparation of learning materials
- Support pupils with SEND needs where required
- Monitor and record pupil progress and share observations with teaching staff
- Assist with classroom routines and contribute to wider school life during longer‑term placements
Ideal Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant:
- Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification preferred, or equivalent experience
- Previous experience supporting pupils in a primary or secondary school environment
- Confident working across mixed abilities and adapting to different year groups
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, supportive, and able to build positive working relationships
- Adaptable and proactive in varied school settings
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- Willingness to undertake further training and development
