Summary

KS2 Teacher – Year 5/6 Mixed Class

Full-Time | Long-Term Contract | Immediate Start

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated KS2 Teacher to undertake a full‑time, long‑term role teaching a mixed Year 5/6 class. This position carries full class teacher responsibilities and requires a practitioner with strong knowledge of the upper KS2 curriculum, particularly in relation to Year 6 SATs preparation and the delivery of targeted booster groups.

Role Overview

Full-time teaching position in a Year 5/6 mixed class


Full class responsibilities including planning, preparation, assessment, and reporting


Delivery of SATs-focused teaching, interventions, and booster sessions


Long-term contract through the agency


Supportive and collaborative KS2 team environment


Essential Requirements

Applicants must:

Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)


Have recent and proven UK teaching experience, specifically within KS2


Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Year 5 and Year 6 curriculum, including SATs expectations


Be confident planning and delivering booster groups and targeted interventions


Be able to commit fully to a long-term placement


Show flexibility, professionalism, and excellent behaviour management skills


Be capable of creating a structured, engaging, and supportive learning environment


Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be an organised, reflective practitioner who can deliver high‑quality, differentiated lessons that support progress across both year groups. You will bring a calm, consistent presence to the classroom, demonstrate excellent behaviour management, and prepare pupils effectively for end‑of‑KS2 assessments while maintaining a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
