Your new company
Hays Education are proud to work in partnership with a wide network of primary schools across Coventry and the surrounding areas, supporting them with high‑quality teachers for both day‑to‑day and longer‑term supply needs. Schools range from small, community‑focused settings to larger multi‑form‑entry primaries, giving you the freedom to choose the environments that suit you best. Whether you prefer the variety of working across multiple schools or the consistency of being based in one setting, we'll match opportunities to your preferences and availability. Our partner schools value reliable, enthusiastic teachers who can contribute positively to their teams and provide pupils with continuity and engaging learning experiences.
Your new role
We are looking for KS2 teachers who are available for supply work on a schedule that suits them. Roles are available on a day‑to‑day, short‑term, or longer‑term basis, with both part‑time and full‑time options. You will be delivering pre‑planned lessons, covering classes across Key Stage 2, or taking on longer placements where you will plan, teach and assess as part of the wider team. You'll have the opportunity to experience a range of school settings or remain in one school depending on your preference. Whichever route you choose, you'll be supported by staff teams who value clear communication, adaptability and a positive classroom presence.
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 2
- Confident behaviour management and strong classroom presence
- Flexibility to adapt to different school environments and routines
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to deliver engaging lessons
- A positive, professional approach and commitment to providing high‑quality learning experiences
What you'll get in return
- Competitive pay that reflects your experience and teaching scale
- Complete flexibility to choose when, where, and how often you work
- Access to a wide range of CPD opportunities through the Hays Learning Platform
- Simple digital tools to manage timesheets, holidays and wellbeing resources via the Hays App
- £250 in vouchers when you refer a teacher who completes 20 days of work with Hays
- Ongoing support from your dedicated Hays consultant, including CV guidance and career development advice
