About the Team

This role will sit within the network of Practice Excellence Partners. The team is designed to strengthen service delivery, reduce restrictive practices and cultivate a compassionate, values‑led workforce culture. Autistic adults, families and lived‑experience representatives will be key partners in shaping the work and you will represent NAS in external forums, regulatory discussions and national networks focused on ethical practice, PBS and adult social care improvement.

About the Role

As a Practice Excellence Partner, you’ll provide strategic practice leadership that transforms how services support autistic people, individuals with learning disabilities and those experiencing mental ill health. This role blends coaching, culture change and quality improvement to drive exceptional practice across Adult Services.

What You’ll Do

  • Coach managers and staff to embed Active Support, MCA principles and evidence‑based practice.
  • Deliver training, reflective practice and high‑impact feedback that improves day‑to‑day support.
  • Lead the rollout of the NAS Excellence Framework and Practice Leader Competency Framework across services.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in adult social care, supporting autistic people or people with learning disabilities/mental health needs.
  • Expertise in rights‑based practice, MCA, Active Support, safeguarding and autism best practice.
  • Confident coaching and training skills, plus the ability to influence culture and challenge poor practice.

This advert is for a full-time position at 35 Hours per week.

This role is hybrid, covering the South East region.
