Role Overview

M Group Energy (Infrastructure) Limited is seeking an experienced Civils Operative to support works on a National Grid substation project in Melksham. This role sits within the Energy division and requires a reliable operative with previous infrastructure experience and the ability to work safely within a live utility environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general civil works in line with project specifications


  • Support infrastructure and groundwork activities on site


  • Follow site instructions and method statements accurately


  • Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times


  • Work collaboratively with site supervisors and other trades


  • Ensure all works are completed to quality and programme requirements


    Essential Requirements

    • National Grid Person (NG Person) certification – MUST HAVE


    • Manual Handling certification – MUST HAVE


    • Previous experience working on National Grid or utility infrastructure projects


    • Full PPE (required prior to attending site)


    • Ability to work safely within a regulated energy environment
