About Us We are a busy and well-established HGV dealership, representing a leading commercial vehicle brand, providing servicing, maintenance, and repair solutions to a wide range of fleet and transport operators. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a highly organised and professional Service Administrator to support our workshop and service department.
The Role As a Service Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the service department. You act as the first point of contact for customers entering the dealership for a service on their vehicle.
This is a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone who thrives under pressure and has strong attention to detail.
Service Advisor Key Responsibilities
- Raising and processing job cards and repair orders
- Booking in vehicles for service, MOT and repair work
- Updating customers on vehicle progress and completion times
- Processing invoices and ensuring accuracy of billing
- Ordering parts and liaising with the parts department
- Maintaining service records and compliance documentation
- Warranty administration and submissions
- Handling customer queries in a professional manner
- Supporting the Service Manager with general administrative duties
Service Administrator Requirements
- Previous experience in a SService Advisor role (HGV experience desirable but not essential)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Good IT skills (experience with Kerridge/Autoline or similar DMS advantageous)
- Ability to work in a busy workshop environment
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
