A leading technology and infrastructure services provider is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their Smart Infrastructure division. If you thrive in mission‑critical environments and enjoy delivering high‑impact technology and cabling projects, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of data centre infrastructure.
What You'll DoAs a Project Manager, you'll take ownership of structured cabling and related technology projects-driving them from initiation through to successful delivery. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading customer projects to meet agreed time, cost, quality and satisfaction targets.
- Managing end‑to‑end project controls: planning, risk, change management, reporting and governance.
- Working closely with Bid teams on tenders, pricing and solution design.
- Identifying and delivering scope growth and variation opportunities.
- Ensuring compliance with company, customer and statutory processes, including Health & Safety.
- Managing site teams and promoting best practice across all project phases.
- Representing the business professionally with customers, partners and suppliers.
- Bringing forward ideas, improvements and innovation to enhance delivery and operations.
You'll bring strong technical and project leadership skills, especially in mission‑critical settings.
Essential experience and qualifications:
- Proven track record delivering projects within data centre environments.
- At least 5 years' project management experience in the structured cabling industry.
- Experience in construction or site‑based roles.
- Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure and operational best practices.
- Prince2 Practitioner, CTPM or equivalent qualification.
- SMSTS (or equivalent), ECS Health & Safety Manager card and CDM knowledge.
- Excellent understanding of structured cabling technologies, testers and testing procedures.
- Experience preparing customer quotations, surveys, designs and cost models.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience owning P&L elements of projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
- A confident communicator and problem‑solver with strong stakeholder management skills.
