A well-established, RCVS-accredited small animal practice in Essex is seeking an experienced and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly and dedicated team. About the Practice
This newly renovated and well-equipped practice operates across two busy branches in a vibrant seaside town in Essex, just 20 minutes from Colchester and approximately 1.5 hours by direct train to London.
The main branch features excellent facilities, including:
• In-house laboratory
• Digital x-ray
• Ultrasound
• Two operating theatres
• Separate dog and cat wards
• Dedicated dental suite with dental x-ray
The second branch maintains strong community ties and is easily accessible from the main site.

The Role
This position offers flexibility and work-life balance, ideal for vets seeking either full-time or part-time employment.
Key Details:
• Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 pro rata (dependent on experience)
• No OOH commitments
• Full-time or part-time considered
• Full-time: 4–5 days per week
• 1 in 3 Saturdays
• Flexible rota options available
• Minimum 15-minute consultations (longer consults scheduled where required)
• At least one dedicated surgery day per week
Part-time applicants may be based solely at the main branch. Full-time vets will primarily work at the main site with some branch work included.
The practice actively supports further development and is happy to support certificate study for the right candidate.
