Our client is seeking an Experienced Masonry Designer to join their team on a full-time, site-based basis in Essex. This role will involve regular travel to project sites across London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong designer with solid masonry experience to work across a diverse range of construction projects, including both new build and restoration schemes.

The Role

The Designer will be responsible for designing and developing masonry solutions that meet client specifications, regulatory requirements and high-quality standards.

Working closely with architects, engineers and project teams, you will ensure all designs are technically robust, commercially practical and aligned with project programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Producing detailed technical drawings and masonry design solutions

  • Using software such as AutoCAD, Revit or other relevant design tools

  • Collaborating with architects, clients and project teams

  • Selecting and specifying appropriate materials

  • Ensuring compliance with UK construction regulations and safety standards

  • Reviewing and revising designs as projects evolve

  • Supporting site teams where required to ensure accurate implementation

  • Maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality throughout the design process

Requirements
  • Proven experience in masonry design, including new build and restoration projects

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or similar architectural design software

  • Strong understanding of structural and construction principles

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Strong communication and coordination skills

  • Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines

  • Familiarity with UK construction regulations relating to masonry
