A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Site Agent
- Ensuring that the works under their control are carried out according to the Health and Safety at Work Act and all relevant regulations;
- Manage sub-contractors on site to ensure that the works are carried out according to the Designer’s Specification;
- On-site co-ordination between BMJV, the sub-contractors and stakeholders;
- Co-ordinating between the various BMJV departments including technical, safety, environmental, survey, land access, and consents;
- Ensuring the protection of existing instrument installation during site reprofiling, ground engineering and shaft construction works
- Monitoring and reporting of site activities;
- Arranging setting out with BMJV survey team;
- Preparation of working areas including access, ecology surveys and vegetation clearances;
- Arranging utility inspections and permit to dig as required;
- Performing site specific inductions and briefings;
- Arranging site facilities such as mobile welfare, water, lighting and security;
- Checking contractor’s RAMS and facilitating approvals with safety department;
- Identifying and rectification of bad practices;
- Comply with all Company’s Policies and Procedures;
- Undertake other such reasonable duties appropriate to the role.

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Geotechnical Investigation site supervision;
- Driving Licence;
- Demonstrable knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act;
