Take Ownership. Drive Improvement. Make an Impact.
Are you a hands-on IT professional ready to step into a role where your work genuinely matters? This is an exciting opportunity to become the go-to IT Lead for a busy factory and office environment — driving stability, supporting users, improving processes, and shaping how technology is used across the site.
This isn’t a role where you’ll be hidden behind a desk. You’ll be embedded in the heart of the business, providing practical support, delivering smart solutions, and collaborating not only with local teams but also with IT specialists across the wider group, sharing knowledge and aligning best practice.
Why This IT Lead Role Stands Out:
• High visibility and real ownership of IT operations
• A chance to influence and uplift IT capability across the site
• Meaningful collaboration with wider group IT personnel
• A mix of strategic responsibility and hands-on technical work
• A supportive environment that values initiative and continuous improvement
Key Responsibilities of the IT Lead:
• Leading day-to-day IT operations across both factory and office areas
• Acting as the first point of contact for IT queries, providing fast and calm troubleshooting
• Managing technical escalations and working closely with external IT partners
• Handling PC builds, resets, hardware fixes, and general maintenance
• Supporting new starters — equipment setup, access, onboarding, and training
• Upskilling teams in effective use of IT systems and tools (including SharePoint)
• Ensuring cyber security software is monitored, maintained, and up to date
• Delivering cyber awareness training to help strengthen the site’s security culture
• Maintaining clear IT documentation, records, and procedures
• Working hand-in-hand with colleagues from all areas of the business to keep operations running smoothly
About You:
You’ll thrive here if you enjoy a role that blends technical skill with people-focused support. You are:
• Experienced in IT support or an IT Lead role
• A confident troubleshooter who stays calm under pressure
• Comfortable working in both industrial and office settings
• Skilled with Microsoft systems, hardware, and collaboration tools like SharePoint
• Knowledgeable in cyber security fundamentals and best practice
• A clear communicator who adapts to users with varying levels of IT knowledge
• Organised, dependable, and able to juggle multiple tasks independently
What’s on Offer?
• £38,000 – £40,000 salary
• Mon–Thurs 8am–5pm, Fri 8am–12.30pm
• 25 days holiday + bank holidays + option to purchase 3 more days
• Contributory pension
• Health cash plan
• Annual company event
• Bonus scheme
• A varied role with autonomy, trust, and room to improve IT processes
• Opportunity to collaborate with skilled IT professionals across the wider group
