Summary
The following are the primary responsibilities of the Assistant Practice Manager practice manager. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels. The Assistant practice manager is responsible for: Supporting the practice manager in the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities and patients are supported in their care. To lead Human Resources ensuring motivation and productivity of staff working in the practice is maintained, policy and procedures are implemented, and staff reviews are in line with legislation Monitoring and maintain compliance for health and safety and GDPR legislation. Line managing staff where appropriate and ensure team members are supported by a good appraisal system and robust HR system Developing, implementing and embedding an effective practice training programme for all staff (clinical and administrative) liaising with external agencies when necessary and maintaining a training record To work with the care coordinator manager regarding IT issues, maintenance, reporting, auditing and contractual requirements. Ensuring the clinical session structure is effective, meets the needs of the patients and meets contractual requirements by regular reviews Supporting the overall practice clinical governance framework, supporting with reports for QOF, enhanced services and other reporting requirements using CQRS or other such systems and undertake annual reporting and submissions to ensure practice maintain compliance Support the team to improve accessibility, safe and effective working in the compilation of practice reports, audits and monitoring to plan, review and implement change under the direction of the practice manager Developing, implementing and embedding the practice audit programme Maintain the practice team net actions Further details of secondary responsibilities are attached
