Your new role
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a high‑profile government programme. The successful candidate will support the IDE team in developing and delivering functional and non-functional requirements across four core applications, ensuring they meet the scale and performance demands of the programme.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Java-based applications within the IDE programme.
- Deliver functional and non-functional features across multiple core components.
- Work within Agile Scrum teams to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery.
- Support systems administration activities for J2EE applications.
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to ensure solutions align with technical standards.
- Contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
What you'll need to succeed
- Must have a minimum of 5 years UK residency (security requirement).
- 2-5 years of hands-on development experience.
- Systems administration experience for J2EE applications.
- Experience with:
- JBoss
- Jenkins
- Ansible
