An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Director of Events to lead the meetings, conferences and weddings function within a prestigious luxury setting in St Andrews.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue, elevating guest experience and delivering seamless, high-end events across corporate and private segments. You will oversee a dedicated team of four and work closely with sales, operations and senior leadership to maximise performance and profitability.

The Role

You will take full ownership of the events strategy and execution across:

  • Corporate conferences and residential meetings

  • High-end private events and celebrations

  • Luxury weddings

  • MICE business across domestic and international markets

This role combines commercial leadership with operational excellence. You will ensure each event is delivered to an impeccable standard while optimising revenue opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and inspire a team of two events professionals

  • Drive conference, meetings and wedding revenue in line with budget targets

  • Oversee the full event lifecycle from enquiry to execution

  • Build strong relationships with corporate bookers, agencies and wedding planners

  • Work closely with the Sales Director and operational heads to align strategy

  • Implement pricing strategies and maximise upselling opportunities

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity within luxury hospitality

  • Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and brand reputation

About You

  • Proven experience in a senior events leadership role within luxury hospitality

  • Strong background in MICE and wedding sales/delivery

  • Commercially astute with a track record of driving revenue growth

  • Confident managing high-profile clients and complex events

  • Experienced in leading and developing small, high-performing teams

  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organisational skills

  • Passionate about delivering five-star guest experiences
