About the role
The finance team is an integral part of EngineeringUK and this role is fundamental to providing efficient and effective financial management and controls, working with staff at all levels.

Role responsibilities

Purchase Ledger
• Purchase ledger including processing invoices, expenses and raising purchase orders
• Preparing payment runs
• Document management responsibilities ensuring digital copies of all sales and purchase invoices
• Ensuring employee expenses, receipts and supporting documentation are appropriately stored and accessible
Administration
• Administration of Clarity – Travel booking platform
• Amazon account management
• Credit card custodian and reconciliations

Other
• Assisting with year-end audit prep
• Maintain a log of rechargeable
• Supporting income reconciliations
• Working on ad hoc projects, using IT to streamline processes and new IT various projects e.g. transition to Sharepoint and maximizing potential use of Microsoft Business Central
• Work in line with EngineeringUK values and support achievement of our organisational objectives
• Undertake any training and development as required for the role
• Any other duties and tasks as directed and required by your line manager

This will be a permanent role once apprenticeship is completed.

Training Provided:

BPP apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry-experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, we’ve purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace.
Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

Skills Required:
Essential skills/competencies
• Good numeracy skills
• Able to communicate clearly and professionally, in person, on the phone and via email
• Bright, self-motivated, fast-learner
• Well-organised and good at prioritising, able to work to deadlines
• Thorough approach, including a good attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team work well in a team and build effective working relationships with colleagues, staff and external stakeholders/suppliers
• An interest in accountancy and finance
• Computer literate

Qualifications Required:
• 5 GCSE A-C grades or other comparable qualifications including Level 2 Maths and English (equivalent to GCSE grade C or above)
