Summary
We are looking for an experienced Shift Supervisor - Electrical Bias to work for MITIE on the NATS contract primarily based at Swanwick near Fareham. This role is to supervise both Mechanical and Electrical Engineers who conduct work that provides a multi-skilled maintenance service, which covers High Voltage and Low Voltage electrical and mechanical disciplines, also to provide a reactive and pro-active maintenance service as per both Statutory, Mandatory requirements. You will oversee High Voltage and Low Voltage Switching Operations utilising Mitie Safe Systems of Work. You will be required to attend and pass a Recognised High Voltage Appointed Persons Course which is mandatory for the position.
The role will also entail training in-house to enable the cover of the Facilities Management Service Co-Ordinator when applicable.
You will be responsible for managing your Team, carrying out modifications and installations when required, maintaining, repairing mechanical and instrumentation plant to optimize both reliability and maintainability. You will provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met and liaise with contractors or external suppliers where required. You will also need to complete any required paperwork, produce reports accurately and on a timely basis.
You should carry work in high standards and in line with current company policies and procedures and report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery, or risk to health and safety, or the environment. You will be responsible for ensuring own work and work of those under supervision is completed in a safe and diligent manner.
The ideal candidate would be required to have an appropriate and up to date training certificate such as AM2, 2391 Test and Inspect and have good knowledge of Electrical/Mechanical systems.
They will need to be responsible for themselves and others to maintain a safe working environment as per the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974). They need to be able to read and understand technical drawings, have good problem-solving and decision-making skills and be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written.
High Voltage or Low Voltage Appointed Person experience would be advantageous.
Previous experience working in a critical environment.
Suitable training may be given when needed to ensure that the candidate is competent to achieve the skills required.
Shift Pattern : Early and Late shift Week 1 0600-1500 Week 2 1400-2300
