Summary
Hays Education are working with a welcoming primary school in the Willenhall area who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their team from March. This is a full‑time role, Monday to Friday, continuing through to the end of the academic year.
Your New Role:
- You will take full responsibility for the Year 2 class, including:
- Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum
- Making use of allocated PPA time provided each week
- Using strong phonics knowledge, ideally with Read Write Inc. (RWI) training, to support early reading development
- Working closely with the class Teaching Assistant, particularly to adjust and tailor activities for pupils with EHCPs
- Attending meetings, including team meetings, parents' evenings and any required reviews
- Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within KS1, ideally Year 2
- Strong phonics knowledge; RWI training is highly desirable.
- Confidence in differentiating for a range of learning needs
- Ability to work collaboratively with support staff and the wider school team
- A commitment to pupils' progress, wellbeing, and successful outcomes
