Contract Type: Permanent

We are seeking a welcoming, organised, and proactive Receptionist to provide high-quality reception and hospitality support within a small office environment.

This role is centred around delivering a professional Front of House experience and supporting the Workplace Manager with reception, post room, and central service desk duties.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who can create a positive impression for both ISS and MBDA through confident customer engagement, efficient service delivery, and strong adherence to site processes and security procedures.

You will take ownership of your daily tasks while escalating complex issues to the Workplace Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities

Provide a warm, helpful, and professional first point of contact for all callers and visitors.

Answer incoming telephone calls, resolve queries, and ensure accurate information is provided; take clear messages and follow up where required.

Meet and greet all visitors, including colleagues, managers, tenants, landlords, and members of the public, ensuring a friendly and efficient service.

Maintain and manage the visitor sign-in process and ensure the daily visitor list is accurate and held at reception.

Keep the reception area tidy, well presented, and up to date with all administrative tasks.

Support hospitality activities, including preparing and managing 3–4 large conference/meeting rooms.

Assist with monitoring and ordering office supplies and ensuring office equipment within reception is maintained.

Follow client security procedures and ensure communication flows effectively with the onsite client and relevant teams.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Customer engagement experience is essential; dedicated reception experience is not required.

Computer literate and able to follow established instructions and site processes.

Confident working in a hospitality-focused setting and managing meeting rooms.

Able to take ownership, stay proactive, and manage tasks independently.

Communicates clearly and keeps the onsite client informed, meeting required standards.

Naturally organised, reliable, and comfortable keeping busy in a small client-facing environment.

Takes pride in the space and the service delivered, ensuring consistently high standards.
