Job requirements of Demand Planner:
We are now recruiting for a Demand Planner to join our site in Eye, Suffolk. You will be accountable for providing the site teams with an accurate rolling forecast for all retail and business to business demand.
Duties:
· Demand and capacity forecasting
· Develop and maintain short and long term customer demand forecasts using historical data , trends and customer input
· Collaborate with Planning, Sales, Operations and Procurement teams to incorporate customer requirements, promotional activity and market conditions into forecasts
· Overlay demand forecasts with capacity plan
· Highlight any upcoming opportunities and threats to business continuity
· Share demand forecasts with Sales, Operations and Procurement teams to ensure staffing, packaging and equipment is managed in line with stock holding and replenishment targets
· Measure forecast accuracy to continuously improve forecasting tools and inputs
· Provide reports and feedback of forecast accuracy and associated KPI attainment.
· Deputise for the Production Planner and Planning Manager when required
· Share your knowledge and assist where needed on site.
· Provide support to site operations teams
· Advise teams for best practice and business interests
· Act as a key site contact for customers where required
· Understand and support KPI improvements.
· Always act in the best interest of Cranswick Country Foods Fresh Poultry
What you will need:
•Experience in a similar role or industry is preferred
•Good IT skills, especially Excel, with good understanding of systems and reporting methods
•Good analytical and reporting skills
•Confident communicator
