Job description:
Jigsaw Pre-School is a welcoming and inclusive pre-school dedicated to providing the highest quality care and early education for children aged from 18months. We believe in fostering creativity, independence, and a love of learning in a nurturing environment.
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 2 or 3 Early Years Educator to join our team.
Jigsaw Pre-School is a term time setting situated in the heart of Needham Market within a purpose built building with large garden area.
approx 20 hours per week with immediate or ASAP start
Main responsibilities of the role include:
Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children.
Foster a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for young learners.
Support children's social, emotional, and physical development.
Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure each child's individual needs are met.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and activities.
Promote positive behavior and good manners among children.
Ensure health and safety standards are consistently upheld.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the setting through feedback and innovation.
What Jigsaw is looking for from the successful candidate...
Level 2 or 3 Early Years Qualification (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
A passion for early childhood education and development.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential)
Qualifications
Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.
Full and relevant level 2/3 childcare qualification.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Enthusiasm for early childhood development.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Driving license (preferred but not essential).
