Summary

This is an extremely varied role offering an exciting opportunity for a highly efficient and customer-focused administrator to support teams within Aston Graduate School.

Aston Graduate School is responsible for all postgraduate research (PGR) matters. This includes operational management of the research degree lifecycle from enquiry through to award, providing support for over 500 students and their supervisors: formulating and delivering the researcher development strategy, including the Graduate School Training programme for all PGR students.

This is a key role, as the postholder supports all teams within Aston Graduate School and works across all major functions, including recruitment and admissions, progression, and PGR training and development. The postholder is expected to play a key role in delivering an excellent support service and student experience.

You will have proven experience in a similar office-based administration role, preferably within higher education. You will have excellent IT, communication and organisational skills and experience of using SITS or a similar student records system. The ability to work flexibly as part of a multi-functional team and with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at various levels is essential.
