Summary
EYFS Teaching Assistant
Required from: 13th April 2026
Contract Term: 1-year temporary contract (with a view to be made permanent)
Full Time – 37 hours a week, term time only, 39 weeks of the year
Pay Scale: Level 1 TA NJC 3–6 (FTE £24,796 - £25,989), dependent on experience (Actual salary £21,327 - £22,353)Old Basford School is seeking to appoint an inspiring teaching assistant to work within our EYFS team, initially within Nursery. We are excited to welcome a new member of staff to our committed whole school team, who all work hard for the pupils at OBS!
Old Basford School is a two-form entry primary school with a 40 place Nursery in Nottingham City with a fantastic reputation. The ideal candidate will: ·
• have experience of working within EYFS
• hold the relevant qualifications for working within EYFS ratio- must be stated with Dfe guidance
• be consistently good within their classroom practice
• be able to improve and impact pupil progress and achievement through quality adult interactions and tailored interventions
• be passionate about play within the Early Years
• be flexible and able to use your own initiative
• follow our reflective and restorative behaviour system with all pupils
• be energetic, enthusiastic and creative
