Summary

Business Admin Apprentice

We're looking for a Business Admin Apprentice to join our Transportation Team based in Northamptonshire, working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship in Business Administration.



Transportation - Build and maintain infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people.  We provide transport solutions that are sustainable, long-lasting and that promote various methods of transport https://www.kier.co.uk/who-we-are/our-business-divisions/   



This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.



Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £20,800

Start Date: September 2026

How does an apprenticeship work?

As a Business Admin Apprentice you'll be enrolled onto a Level 3 apprenticeship in Business Administration, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Transportation team to support in the overall design, build and maintenance of infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people.

Your day to day will include:

-Learning how to draft and process traffic regulation orders and related statutory notices under the various sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and other relevant legislation.

-Help to investigate appropriate parking control improvements, including public consultations and the progression and implementation of schemes where appropriate, in accordance with the annual review programme.

-Support the programmes for reviewing all existing parking restrictions, requests for additional parking restrictions or changes to existing.

-Learning how to develop, maintain and update the Client's ParkMap TRO management system.

-Be responsible for maintaining and updating traffic orders systems and indexes.



What are we looking for?

The role of Business Admin Apprentice is great for you if you have:

-GCSE Grade 4 or above in Maths and English OR Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English

-Willing to learn

-Self-motivated, punctual and organised

-Able to communicate clearly, both verbal and written
