Summary
We're looking for a Bridge Inspector Apprentice to join our Transportation Team based in Brixworth, Northamptonshire, working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship in Civil Engineer Technician.
Transportation - Build and maintain infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.
Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £20,800
Start Date: September 2026

How does an apprenticeship work?
As a Bridge Inspector Apprentice you'll be enrolled onto a Level 3 apprenticeship in Civil Engineer Technician , giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Transportation team support with the overall design, build and maintenance of infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people
Your day to day will include:
-Learning how to act safely on site and being responsible for yourself and the other inspector
-Supporting in identifying defects and determine causes in a highway structure
-Learn technical report writing skills
-Be responsible for contractual inspection KPI as a team
-Manage the asset database and learn how to keep it up to date for accuracy

The role of Bridge Inspector Apprentice is great for you if you:
Have GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths and English OR Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English
-Are punctual, self-motivated, and willing to learn
-Have the ability to handle physical work in varying weather conditions
-Have the ability to work collaboratively with a team
