Summary

We're looking for a Quantity Surveying Degree Apprentice to join our Construction team based in London working towards a Level 6 apprenticeship in Quantity Surveying. Construction comprises our Regional Building, Strategic Projects, Kier Places and KME, we operate across all regions- London & Southern, Western & Wales, Eastern & Midlands and North & Scotland.



KMEKier Mechanical & Electrical (KME) are an internal MEP self-delivery design and build business within the Kier group with t/o c.£80-100m, supporting the internal regional businesses across the UK and the Strategic Projects business on selected complex and challenging projects. The business has a full design, construct and commissioning capability with core sectors including Custodial, Commercial, Health & Science.

Location: London

Hours: 40hrs per week

Salary: £22,000 - with salary earning potential of £35k+ upon completion of the course!

Start date: September 2026

How does a degree apprenticeship work?

As a Quantity Surveying Degree Apprentice, you'll have the opportunity to gain practical experience whilst you study towards a BSc Quantity Surveyor with our university partner, Sheffield Hallam, all tuition and accommodation fees covered by us.

Your day to day will include:

-To comply with Kier Group's SHE policy and procedures, all legal requirements and best practice on projects and within the commercial function.

-To support in maximising the planned gross margin on the project and the achievement of the project's budgeted profitability by increasing value, reducing cost, driving profit, managing risk in a safe and ethical manner.

-To support the full commercial contribution to the organisation and specifically to ensure that relationships between the project and surveying functions are collaborative

-To support work winning and commercial strategies and risk mitigations during the tender phase.

-Attending university during pre-determined block weeks to attend lectures and meet other students on your course

To enrol onto your degree, you will need:

-5 GCSE at Grade 4 or above including Maths and English

-2 A-Levels or equivalent Level 3 qualifications (T-Level, BTEC National Certificate / Diploma / Extended Diploma Or Advanced Diploma)

-Other Level 3 BTEC qualifications may also be considered
