The Role
The Multi Skilled Tradesperson – Carpentry Bias will carry out a wide range of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks across Camden’s housing stock and community buildings. While the primary focus is carpentry, the role requires competency across multiple trades to ensure responsive and effective service delivery. A full UK driving licence is mandatory due to the mobile nature of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high‑quality carpentry repairs, installations, and maintenance across Council properties.
Carry out multi‑trade tasks as required to complete works to a safe and professional standard.
Diagnose issues, assess required works, and complete jobs efficiently and accurately.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and Council standards.
Maintain accurate records of completed works and materials used.
Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and supervisors.
Operate Council vehicles safely and responsibly.
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as a multi‑skilled tradesperson with strong carpentry expertise.
Ability to carry out additional trade tasks (e.g., basic plumbing, plastering, tiling).
Full UK driving licence (mandatory).
Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Reliable, professional, and able to manage workload effectively.
