Summary

Responsible to: Wraparound ManagerStanley Primary School is a mainstream school which sits in the heart of the local Teddington community. We are looking for an After School Club Playleader to assist the Wraparound Manager to run the After School Club. They will create a warm, nurturing and fun-filled end to the school day. As the After School Club Playleader you will collect the children from the classrooms, prepare a healthy light meal, play with the children in activities and games, and manage the team of After School Club playworkers. Key responsibilities include: • Collecting the children from their classrooms; • Preparing a healthy light meal, ensuring that children’s medical, allergy and dietary requirements are met; • Providing a varied, safe and stimulating play environment both indoors and outdoors; • Plan activities for the children taking in to account their interests and age groups; • Line manage the After School Club playworkers. The right candidate will have a commitment to the happiness, wellbeing and progress of all the children in the After School Club; a ‘can-do’ attitude; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and previous experience of working with primary school aged children and line managing staff. We are also recruiting for a Breakfast Club Playleader. We would consider appointing the same person to both posts. Each role would need to be applied for separately.
