Summary
Uxbridge College offers excellent Engineering facilities, making this an exciting opportunity to join our highly successful team. The High Skills Technician for Electrical/Electronic Engineering supports our higher education delivery and the West London Institute of Technology, which offers a range of higher education programmes.
You will work within the Electrical/Electronic Engineering area including the Power and Robotics Lab, PLCs and Mechatronics Lab, Electronics Lab and LN Experiments Lab. You will provide assistance to lecturers in preparing equipment and resources for teaching and learning, be responsible for maintaining tools and equipment to an efficient level and carry out risk assessments, ensuring all aspects of health and safety are complied with.
You will need to possess a degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, together with at least 2 years’ experience with electrical equipment, PLCs, robotics and mechatronics. You will have experience and ability to use various higher education software such as Multisim, Matlab, PLC, Verilog, Labview, C Programming as well as a good understanding of health and safety requirements and the ability to communicate and work effectively with others.
