Key to this flexibility is the requirement for staff towork variable hours on a week-by-week basis within agreed limits.The post holder will be required to work according to a locally agreed Code of Conduct for ClinicalSupport Workers.UHNM has adopted a Lean based improvement methodology. As a Clinical Support Worker you will beexpected to actively support the application of the Improving Together approach in delivering theoutputs of your role.The best joined-up care for all Exchanges information with patients using reassurance, tact and empathy. Overcome barriers to understanding for example patients with physical or mentaldisabilities. The post holder will be required to undertake as appropriate any training packagesrelevant to the healthcare setting and on-going training as determined by the Trust and theirline manager. For all new Clinical Support Workers, it is mandatory that they complete the CareCertificate within 12 weeks off issue. All Clinical Support Workers are required to complete both Corporate and Care CoachInduction within their first week of employment. The post holder will work towards completion of a vocational qualification in care asagreed in their PDR. Have a duty to respond and report patients condition in a timely manner. This will includejudgements involving facts. Hold basic keyboard skills. Dexterity to undertake clinical procedures as appropriate. Under direct or non-direct supervision of a Registered Practitioner as deemed appropriatewill assist with all aspects of essential patient care. Provision of personal care to patients. Respect patient privacy and dignity at all times. Prepare equipment for procedures. Assist Registered Practitioners with procedures as required. Act as a chaperone supporting patients undergoing examinations or procedures. Escort patients to other areas of the Trust as directed by the Registered Practitioner. Follows policies and may participate in discussion on proposed changes to procedures. Demonstrates safe working practices in the use of equipment in the clinical area viacompletion of mandatory training. Engages with individual training programs and local protocols, checks and cleansequipment.The best joined-up care for all Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Practitioner order stocksand supplies and ensure they are stored appropriately. Demonstrates their own duties to new starters and bank / agency staff. Adheres to Trust Standards of Dress policy. Completion of relevant patient documentation under direct or non-direct supervision of aRegistered Practitioner as deemed appropriate. Maintenance of computer and manual information systems. To request case notes and provide a tracing service. Occasionally participates in audits, surveys, research and development activities. Will have a delegated workload within the remit of their capabilities. Turns, manoeuvrers patients for toileting, and bathing using appropriate aids. Concentrates on personal care duties and can follow a routine. Care of terminally ill patients and supports in the event of a patient death. The post holder may be exposed to bodily fluids.It is your responsibility to remain within your scope of practice.
