Children’s Support Worker (Day & Night Shifts Available)
Location: Liverpool
⏰ Shifts: Full-time / Part-time – Day, Day Sleep Ins & Waking Night shifts available
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Children’s Support Workers to join our residential home in Liverpool. Our home supports children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and complex needs, including challenging behaviour.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of vulnerable young people by providing a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where they can grow and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people
• Promote positive behaviour and support young people in managing challenging behaviours
• Build trusting, professional relationships with young people
• Support with daily routines including education, activities, appointments, and life skills
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning
• Work as part of a team to create a safe and stable home environment
• Follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
Night staff will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of young people overnight, completing checks, maintaining records, and responding to any incidents appropriately.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience working with children and young people, particularly within residential or EBD settings (preferred but not essential)
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a positive and professional manner
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare
• Willingness to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays
Essential Requirement:
• Minimum of 6 months previous UK experience
• Full UK driving licence
