Graduate Physics Academic Mentor

Location: London Central (WC)
Start Date: Immediate
Hours: Full-time 08:30am -15:30pm
Salary: Salary £25k-£30k (Competitive, based on experience)

Are you a high-achieving Physics graduate with a passion for education? Do you want to inspire the next generation of scientists while gaining invaluable classroom experience in a leading London school?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and academically strong Graduate Physics Academic Mentor to support students across Key Stages 3–5, including GCSE and A-Level Physics.

The Role

As a Graduate Physics Academic Mentor, you will:

• Provide targeted 1:1 and small group academic support in Physics
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
• Support high-achieving students aiming for top grades and university progression
• Help students develop exam technique, problem-solving skills, and scientific confidence
• Contribute to STEM enrichment activities and intervention programmes

This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, or academia.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• A 2:1 or First-Class degree in Physics or a closely related discipline
• Strong A-Level results (including A/A* in Physics)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
• A proactive, patient, and supportive approach
• A genuine interest in education and student development

Previous tutoring or mentoring experience is desirable but not essential.
