Are you ready to lead and deliver strategic bids and transformation programmes for public sector clients? As a Solutions Consultant at Capita, you'll collaborate with senior stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams to design and implement innovative, purpose-led solutions that have a lasting impact on our customers and their communities. This role is home-based requiring the flexibility to attend in-person meetings.
We're truly committed to building a diverse and representative workforce and as part of our strategic plans we are aiming to accelerate gender and ethnic representation in leadership. As such we would particularly welcome applications from people who are female and/or are from Black, Asian and other ethnic minority backgrounds
What you'll be doing
• lead and contribute to major, high-impact bids and transformation programmes, working across people, processes, and technology
• engage directly with executive stakeholders, influencing solution strategy and delivery
• drive solutions through the full lifecycle - from initial client discovery and design, through to implementation and transformation
• collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, best-practice solutions
• apply analytical thinking and commercial acumen to develop compelling, cost-optimised solutions.
• champion best practice and continuous improvement, standardising processes and sharing knowledge across the team
• manage risks, assumptions, dependencies, and opportunities throughout the solution lifecycle
What we're looking for
Essential Skills
• Extensive experience in pre-sales or solution development roles, ideally within the public sector markets
• Proven ability to design complex, repeatable solutions and operating models, integrating technical, operational, and commercial workstreams
• Demonstrable experience contributing to or leading large-scale bids or managed service proposals
• Strong analytical capability, with experience in data interpretation, volumetric analysis, and developing transformation or financial models
• Clear, confident communicator with senior and executive stakeholders, able to simplify complex concepts and influence decision making
• Hands-on experience supporting transition, transformation, or service improvement programmes
• Versatile across the full delivery lifecycle, from discovery and requirements, through solution design, mobilisation, and implementation
• Skilled at collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams and ensuring effective input from SMEs
• Proactive problem-solver in complex environments, with a focus on innovation and best practice
