Summary

General Teaching Assistant – Primary School

Humly is recruiting a General Teaching Assistant to join a primary school on a temporary basis.

This is a part-time/full-time role. This role would suit an enthusiastic and flexible teaching assistant who is confident supporting pupils across a range of year groups and can adapt to the needs of different classes.

What You’ll Be Doing

Support classroom teachers in the delivery of lessons across multiple year groups

Assist with small group and one-to-one interventions to reinforce learning

Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

Support pupils with special educational needs and additional learning requirements

Supervise pupils during activities, breaks, and lunchtime as required

Contribute to classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources

What You’ll Bring

Experience working as a teaching assistant in a primary school environment

Ability to support pupils across different ages and abilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A proactive and flexible approach to supporting teaching staff

Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection

Relevant qualifications or training in education support roles desirable

Pay

£13.70 per hour

Enhanced DBS required
