Summary

We are seeking a committed and reflective SEN Teacher to deliver high-quality, inclusive education for pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

You'll be working with young children with Autism. You'll be there to help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem. The school environment will be resourced and with you every step of the way, helping you build a rewarding teaching career.

The Role:
- Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons tailored to individuals needs
- Work with a team of teaching assistants, colleagues and external professionals
- Passionate about supporting students with SEN and helping them achieve their full potential
- Work closely with care staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure coordinated support for pupils
- Monitor, assess, record, and report on student progress consistently
- Organise classroom, resources, and displays to create a stimulating, safe, and effective learning environment.
- Manage and support challenging behaviour, promoting self-regulation and independence.

Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent too
- Flexibility in approach to ensure that children are supported
- Lead a nurturing small SEND class of amazing children
- Teach with creativity, purpose, and play
- Excellent communication skills
- Patient, empathetic and understanding towards individual student needs

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
