Summary

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Preston

Humly is recruiting a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school on a temporary basis.

This is a part-time role starting 23/02/2026 and continuing until 27/03/2026, initially for half a term with the potential to continue. The position involves providing dedicated 1:1 support for a female pupil in Year 3. This role would suit an experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant who is confident supporting pupils with additional needs and can establish clear, consistent routines.

What You’ll Be Doing

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil with SEN

Implement consistent routines to support learning and emotional regulation

Use effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies

Support the pupil’s engagement within the classroom environment

Liaise with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress and adapt support strategies

What You’ll Bring

Experience working as a SEN Learning Support Assistant within a primary setting

Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

Confidence supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis

The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils

A calm, patient and consistent approach

Pay

£14.85 per hour

Enhanced DBS required
