Summary

A Personal Assistant is required to support a sixteen‑year‑old autistic young man with ADHD, living in Indian Queens.

He is looking for someone who can build a positive, trusting relationship and become a reliable part of his weekly routine.

The role involves providing 1:1 support to help him take part in local community activities, practice life‑skills, and continue developing his independence.

He enjoys getting out and about, discovering new places, and trying new experiences.

Rate of Pay: £13.50 per hour, with the potential for a higher rate depending on experience and relevant skills. A mileage allowance of 45p per mile is also payable.

Hours: 5 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to suit the candidate’s availability. Availability after school, on weekends, and during school holidays is required.

Experience supporting young people on the autism spectrum would be a distinct advantage. A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.

The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
